John Abraham and Manoj Bajapyee starrer Satyameva Jayate cashed in on Independence Day zeal along with Akshay Kumar starrer Gold. Both the films set the box office on fire, however, the next day, which was a working day led to a dip in the business of both the films. However, making a good use of holiday on Parsi New Year, Satyameva Jayate made a slight growth at the box office.
